Learning objectives are:

  • To review the new nomenclature for steatotic liver disease
  • To discuss approaches to risk stratification in primary and secondary care
  • To review current and emerging management options for MASLD

 


Dr. Morven Cunningham completed medical training at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK.  She undertook a PhD at Queen Mary, University of London, studying factors influencing treatment response in chronic hepatitis C infection, before moving to Toronto in 2017 to complete a Fellowship in Hepatology at University of Toronto.  She is currently an Assistant Professor, University of Toronto and Staff Hepatologist at Toronto Centre for Liver Disease. Clinical and academic interests include the effects of oncological disease and its treatment on the liver, and medical education in hepatology.
